Daniel sat in his room, staring at the map that lay on his dinner table. "This strait." He pointed at with his knife. "We'll wait there, flying the colours of a whaler. We can sneak right up on another when they try to call a meet."
Daniel looked up at his First and Second mates. "Gideon, how's the ship holding up? It didn't sound so good last time we put some wind behind 'er."

"Aye think we're alright. Fore mast were a wee bit...unstable. Aye 'ad 'er patched up an' reinforced, she looks good know. Rudder was laggin' a bit too, but Aye think we go' tha' fixed up." Gideon replied as he leaned forward on his rifle. The crew had a fair dislike of the way he made them work on things, but being formerly of the Royal Marines, he was alot more precise and hard-working than most of the other scum aboard. They got to it real quick-like when he started handing out threats and curses. One of his favorite threats didn't even include violence: sometimes he'd just threaten to bring out the 'pipes and play until they finished.

"Grand." The secondmate just nodded his head and smiled. "Simply grand!" Daniel yawned and stretched for a moment. "Well then, it's settled. Set in a new course, we'll be on the way within the next ten minutes. Get to it lads." Daniel shooed them out of his cabin and went to find a book to read.
